Day 14: Packing up

Monday, January 30, 2012
What a sad day. I hate packing up and leaving this place. We were a pretty efficient team getting our tents down and packing everything. Then we walked down to the beach for one last swim, our favourite spot to swim is a place called 'the keyhole' which is a cut out from the reef and is beautiful!

Day 13: Palmers Wine and Markets

Sunday, January 29, 2012
Love the name, my old name!! Love their wine too!! Lovely morning out!

Day 12: All over Olive Oil

Saturday, January 28, 2012
Olio Bello- the most amazing olive oils I've ever had! My favourites are the Parmesan infused and the Chilli & Garlic.

Day 11: Australia Day

Friday, January 27, 2012
This morning Dad cooked up a big breakfast on the BBQ. One of my favourite things is a big BBQ breakfast, and it is an Australia day tradition for the family.

The rest of the day consisted of swimming and Ezra playing in a bucket of water because it was so hot, and then a nice drive out to the chocolate factory so the kid could get a nap in the a/c in the car!

Day 10: Same old things

Thursday, January 26, 2012
More beer and more sunsets. Just can't get enough. The beer is from Eagle Bay Brewery where we went for lunch. The beer is really good, and the beef burger was pretty awesome! Again the weather was pretty hot, but not nearly as hot as it has been in Perth, and the relief of the ocean is only metres away!

Day 9: Caravan Park Wars

Wednesday, January 25, 2012
Wow, what a night it was, and I missed all the action. Two drunken older ladies staying next to my parents site started screaming abuse at my brother's girlfriend last night. All because she asked them to not smoke right next to their tent, because it was filling up with smoke and she has asthma. My quiet Mum realised what was going on and stepped in with a piece of her
mind. Go Mum! And where was I whilst this was going on?? Asleep in my tent, I love a good caravan park drama, and i missed it all. Some people are so inconsiderate it drives mad. What sort of ladies scream abuse at an 18 yr old for politely asking them to move. Good thing they only stated for one night, or The Angry little man side of Joel might have come out!

Photos for today! Including a little
Bob-tail lizard we stumbled across.

Day 8: Retro Caravan

Tuesday, January 24, 2012
I love this caravan, some of my favourite memories of my childhood involve this caravan. I keep trying to convince my parents to buy a new one so we can have this one.

The interior is so old. It is in really good condition though. I kinda like it.

Day 7: Cool change & Sunsets

Monday, January 23, 2012
Finally today we got a bit of a cool change, which means a nice cold night tonight for sleeping! I love the hot days and cold nights, the sunburn doesn't feel so bad then.
Today's pictures are of the sun just before it was about to set. I love the WA coast and the sun setting over the ocean.

Day 6: Beer

Sunday, January 22, 2012
I only took a couple of pictures today, this is at Colonial Brewery, an awesome brewery with great Steak Sandwiches and good beer!

Day 5: Wine, beach & relaxing!

Saturday, January 21, 2012
Another hot hot day... But you just gotta deal with that!
Here's the pictures from today!

Day 4. Surf

Friday, January 20, 2012
Pictures of the beautiful ocean! The waves are rolling in. All the boys went for a couple of surfs today. Maybe tomorrow we can get Ezra to lay down on his Dads board. It was still as hot as ever, bub had to have all his naps in his pram out under the shade of the trees with the wind rolling off the ocean, not really what you call the hard life.

Day 3: hot hot hot

Thursday, January 19, 2012
As so many of my North American friends are posting pictures of things knee high in snow, day three of our camping adventure was hot hot hot. That's the downside of having a tent, you can't have a baby nap in a tent that hot, so you have to get creative. Out the front of the park in the sea breeze in the shade is a great backup plan!

We made beer can chicken with a can of Budweiser for dinner in our little Weber Baby Q. Our essential for camping, it is awesome when you can do a roast at your own campsite! This is the life!

Day 2 Camping with the babe!

Tuesday, January 17, 2012
We made it, we are all set up. The first day of camping is always a hard slog, packing, driving, setting up, getting babies to sleep in a new surrounding. Day two though has been perfect. We are loving our set up.

We have two tents set up and a big Coleman Event shelter set up. So it may be a little bit of overkill, but it sure is comfy! It isn't roughing it, out in the sticks, it's high class camping with a bitumen road running through the caravan park. We got our allocated plot the same one as last year. This place is so popular we have to book our spot a year in advance.

The pictures aren't in the best order but my phone won't let me edit them properly! So here it is, including a cheeky baby not sleeping!!
